Outdoor Decking

Posted on

I love decking outdoor’s and recently I have developed an unhealthy obsession with the new range’s of composite decking that is available on the market. These all weather composite decking materials require very little maintenance and are resistant to pest’s and doesn’t require painting or staining. I must say when it all comes down to it I don’t mind admitting that I’m far too lazy for that type of ongoing maintenance. One of my favourite products at the moment is a product called Trex  http://www.trex.com/au/index.html
What’s your thought’s? have you used it or do you prefer the real deal? below are a few photo’s of both options.

BBQ Area Design

We posed this question on our facebook page a couple of weeks ago. What do you like in your outdoor area and what is too much? Some people love the idea of an outdoor kitchen whereas others prefer something a little less permanent that can be moved to suit the season. Either way there is no shortage of inspirational pics out there to suit your style.

It seems my thoughts have been on Chistmas Cocktails lately but judging by how popular our post on facebook was with our Coronarita Cocktails I thought I would share on the blog.

Coronaritas
6 bottles Corona Beer
1 part Tequila
2 parts Margarita Mix
1 part Triple Sec
1 Lime Wedge

Method: In a cocktail shaker, pour the Tequila, Margarita mix and Triple Sec into a cold shaker. Shake vigorously until ice cold. Strain into tall glass with crushed ice and salted rim. Top with Corona beer, lime wedge and straw.

Tip: please make sure you use large glasses that can accommodate a Corona bottle, these are typically made in the U.S. with Coronitas which are a smaller size bottle but are unavailable as yet in Australia.

Kitchen Design

In what seems like a never ending saga we are finally due to start work on our new home and with this my thoughts have turned to kitchen design.

After previously having a contemporary look I am now looking forward to a more classic style of kitchen. I have fallen for a shaker style door panel and classic styling this time around.
This post is just a short list of my favourite kitchen looks.

Your style as well? or do you love modern style kitchens?
